Eastern Conference Contenders Meet When Celtics Host Cavs
March is a month all about basketball, and I can’t wait to get things started. March Madness is fast approaching, but tonight, our focus is on the NBA, where we’ve got a huge matchup in the Eastern Conference to look forward to. And a contender in the West is rounding into form as Kevin Durant is set to make his Suns debut. Plus, there’s another chance to see Damian Lillard in action after his 71-point outburst from this weekend.
Here’s what I’m watching today.
MUST WATCH:
Cleveland Cavaliers at Boston Celtics
Rohan Nadkarni just ranked the teams he considers “true title contenders” and both of these teams were in the top 10. The Celtics, looking for a second consecutive trip to the NBA Finals, came in at No. 2 on the list because of a two-way ceiling that’s “probably higher than any outfit in the league.” But as Boston angles for the top seed in the East, they get a big test tonight when Cleveland and Donovan Mitchell come to town. The Cavs won eight of 11 games in February to continue their rise up the standings and solidify their status as contenders as the playoffs approach.
